This page explains what happens to your information when you use Rollama.
Information about you is sometimes called personal data. That means things like your name, your class, and your scores.
If anything on this page is hard to understand, ask your parent, carer or teacher to read it with you.
We are a company called Rollama Education. We are based in the UK.
We made Rollama to help you get better at spelling, grammar and punctuation.

If you use Rollama at school, your teacher has probably given us:
If a parent, carer or tutor signed you up, they have probably only given us your name.
Sometimes a school tells us a little more, like your gender, your house (for example, Gryffindor), or the languages you speak at home. Schools only do this if they want to. It helps them see how everyone is getting on. Your teacher can tell you more about this.
We never ask for things we do not need. We do not need to know about your health, your religion, or where you live.
When you play Rollama, we also keep:
No. There are no chat rooms on Rollama. Students cannot send messages to each other.
Your teacher can choose to show a class leaderboard. If they do, the other students in your class can see your name and your scores. Your teacher can switch this off.
Only in one place, and only teachers use it.
When a teacher makes a spelling list, a computer program called AI can write meanings and example sentences for the words. We only send it the spelling words. We never send it anything about you.
We never sell your information. We never give it to companies that show adverts.
Your information is kept on secure computers in Europe. Passwords are scrambled so that nobody can read them, not even us.
You can help too. Never share your password, even with a friend.
Cookies are tiny files that a website saves on your device. Rollama uses them to keep you logged in and to remember your settings.
We also use a tool called Google Analytics. It counts how many people visit each page so we can make Rollama better. It does not use your name.
We keep it until your teacher, parent, carer or tutor deletes it.
If your school or family stops using Rollama, we delete your information about 12 weeks later. Once it is deleted, it cannot be brought back.

Sometimes the law changes, or Rollama changes. Then we might need to update this page.

If you think we have done something wrong with your information, you or a grown-up can tell the Information Commissioner's Office. They are the people in the UK who check that companies look after information properly.
